Dermaplaning

Getting rid of peach fuzz and dead skin cells not only gives you a smoother, brighter appearance but also helps products to better penetrate the skin’s surface so they can work their magic fully! Using a surgical scalpel, we gently scrape off the top layer of vellus hair and dead skin. Unlike other abrasive exfoliating treatments, this option does not irritate sensitive skin or cause hyperpigmentation. Painless and quick, dermaplaning can be added on at the beginning of a facial to help your skin absorb all products used so you can receive the maximum benefits from your facial.

LED Therapy

Acne, rosacea, skin irritation, collagen loss, and more can be addressed with the use of LED Therapy! As one of our favorite add-on treatments, Light-Emitting Diode Therapy uses wavelengths of visible light that penetrate the skin deeply to boost radiance and treat a multitude of skin care issues. Red, blue, and infrared lights are the most commonly used and can be used together in a combined treatment. Red light carries anti-inflammatory properties which soothes irritation and stimulates collagen. Blue light kills bacteria, making it a great acne treatment, and infrared light smoothes lines and wrinkles, reduces inflammation, and heals wounded skin! With no UV light present, there is no risk of tanning, burning, or causing skin damage with this 30 minute treatment. There is no pain or downtime and LED Light Therapy works best in conjunction with other treatments, such as a facial, to calm the skin.

Tired eyes? Wake them up with an Ulthera mini treatment designed to lift and tighten around the eyes. Ultrasound energy and heat are delivered with high intensity into the skin stimulating the body’s collagen and elastin production. This is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment for the upper half of the face. What does that mean? You can kiss lines and wrinkles around the eyes goodbye! Oh, and it can help to lift the brow. That’s a two-for one! This treatment delivers natural results that last up to two years, all without surgery, and works very well in conjunction with fillers and dysport!

ThermiSmooth Eyes and Lips

Laxity got you down? Drooping of the eyes and lips is natural and is likely to happen as we age. Luckily, we can fight gravity with ThermiSmooth! This treatment uses radio frequency to heat up the skin and produce new collagen to tighten and plump areas that would otherwise fall flat. This can improve the appearance of bags, crows feet, and wrinkles around eyes, as well as perioral lines and wrinkles around the mouth! This is a painless procedure with results that last up to a year and can be paired with any skin rejuvenation treatment.

TCA Peel

Are you dealing with dull skin? TCA is here to save the day! This non-invasive peel uses a low concentration of trichloroacetic acid - or TCA - to remove dead skin cells and stimulate new cell growth. For this add on service we cleanse the skin, apply the peel with steam for 5-10 minutes, and remove with warm towels. Ta-da! Just like that, your skin is well on its way to looking brighter and more refined. The best part? This peel can be used as an add on to almost any treatment! Bonus: you can expect no discomfort with only mild peeling and/or redness, and it is great for all skin types. We recommend a maintenance treatment every 6-8 weeks to see truly skin-changing results.

Please help us continue to protect the health and well-being of our patients and workplace by cooperating with all of our precautionary measures and protocols against COVID-19 at your next appointment, or as you plan for your surgery.

WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU AND OUR STAFF SAFE?

As a fully accredited surgical facility, Fechner MD has always observed the highest level of safety and sanitation. In fact, as a surgeon, Dr. Fechner is an expert in infection control. We want to ensure that we are doing everything possible for our patients to safely return for surgical and medical spa treatments alike.

WHEN WILL FECHNER MD PLASTIC SURGERY & MEDICAL SPA OPEN?

Fechner MD will adhere to all local, state, and government mandates. We expect to cautiously resume medical spa and injectable treatments during Phase 2 of the Massachusetts phased reopening. We are awaiting a definitive date from Governor Baker. Cosmetic surgery is expected to resume during Phase 3 of Governor Baker’s plan. We ask for your patience and understanding as our staff is working diligently to reschedule all surgeries and procedures affected by our closure. Please understand that in order to open and adhere to Massachusetts guidelines, we will need to limit the number of staff and patients we have in our building and extend the time between patient appointments in order to sanitize rooms. This means we will have fewer available openings for procedures. In order to maximize our provider appointments, we will continue to hold consultations virtually rather than in person, with a few exceptions (body contouring, Instalift, vein treatments).
